The University of Minnesota China Center invites you to join a late afternoon discussion on the U.S.-Chinese relations with Thomas Hanson.
In a year of pandemic and contested elections, US-China relations are marked by increasing acrimony and an atmosphere of greater economic and political estrangement. This program will analyze deeper structural issues that will impact the long term evolution of the world's most important bilateral relationship.
Thomas Hanson is Chair of the Minnesota Committee on Foreign Relations and Co-Chair of the Minnesota China Business Council. He is also Diplomat in Resldence at the Alworth Institute for International Studies at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. Mr. Hanson is a former Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State.
