Brad Roper

I would encourage applicants to not wait to submit questions. I help us organize questions and ensure that you questions are answered.

I'm concerned about potentially applying to both postdocs and jobs. Would it be acceptable to also be applying for jobs as well as post docs? Would it be unprofessional if an applicant were to accept a job position after accepting a postdoc and needing to then reject the postdoc position?
Olivia Altamirano
55:12
Is there a preference for where the Letters of Rec are coming from? What is a good ratio of internship/grad school recommenders?
David Drustrup
01:00:27
For informal internships, are we able to be supervised by anyone with a PhD? Do we have more flexibility on when we apply and when offers come? How can we make ourselves attractive candidates to informal internships? Thank you!
Ji Yun Lee
01:00:53
What types of consequences might there be if I apply and get a postdoc offer, but end up unable to defend my dissertation and graduate before the start date?
Ji Yun Lee
01:02:18
Are there disadvantages of not pursuing a post doc immediately after graduation? And related to this, are there disadvantages of applying to a post doc a couple of years after graduation?
Brad Roper
01:02:58
David, are you asking about informal internships or informal postdocs?
David Drustrup
01:03:12
sorry I meant postdocs, thank you!

I'm still a little confused about the process for applying for neuropsychology. If you participate in the APPCN match, are you not able to participate in APPA CAS application process?
Ji Yun Lee
01:13:04
I think I missed this, when can we expect to see unfilled positions on UPPD by?
Stephanie Claudatos
01:16:26
If you complete a postdoc to obtain specialty training can you still work in other more general positions/areas in the future that aren't as relevant to your postdoc training?
Sarah Gojer
01:19:07
Can you re-state again how we know which sites want us to use the APPA CAS to apply vs emailing applications to them directly? Will this just depend on what each specific postdoc posting says in the application instructions? Or will we generally need to use the APPA CAS for all postdoc applications?
Rose Evelyn Friedheim

Is more than an hour of supervision required in any state?
