Someone remind me what "on the break" means.

01:00:25
Week it comes out

01:00:35
Thanks!

01:00:50
On the break means the national opening date

01:05:38
Was PPP applicable to MTC?

01:19:57
great idea

01:20:41
I agree

01:21:18
Yes, please! I may not live in Morris anymore, but I still care about the theatre and want to stay involved where possible.

01:22:27
I think our by-laws say our meetings are open to the public

01:22:53
Me too, Kellie!

01:24:55
Yes Dune. The sleeper needs to be awaken!

01:28:01
The late 80s Dune may be particularly challenging as well as there were different edits of it and David Lynch took his name off of some of them.

01:31:30
Plus, movie purists believe in both the big screen and the public nature of film.

01:33:24
I don’t think we’re every going to create a successful business model around movie purists. All there of them are too busy listening to their LPs to spend lots of time at the theatre. :-)

01:34:06
I think it will be fall before people will be really ready to return to theaters.

01:34:14
I think we’ll come to the theatre when we’ve had a vaccine, and probably not any earlier, but that’s just us.

01:35:31
Whenever Morris Theatre does re-open, there needs to be a big publicity push to highlight (1) that you're open again (hooray!) and (2) any safety measures.

01:36:01
For me, I'm waiting for a vaccine or the numbers of new cases is very low.

01:37:21
Public domain classic movies

01:38:26
^YES!!!

01:41:50
If I remember correctly, Singing in the Rain was one of the most popular showings during the film festival, so there is a precedent for "older" movies drawing audiences.

01:42:00
Sarah, I'm not in Morris, but I would gladly be willing to help you with this. I've been involved with film festivals and classic films as well.

01:42:12
Great! Thanks, Jen!

01:42:48
Vic suggests a Christmas Movie Film Festival

01:46:15
get a shot and watch a movie promotion.

01:47:15
I love the Christmas Movie Festival idea.

01:48:12
Here is the public domain movie site I was looking at when I was thinking about it years ago (Minnesota Based): https://www.fesfilms.com/about-us.html

01:48:23
the Black Widow date is tentative, I understand, but that’s what they hope

01:49:19
In this new normal, will Black Widow go to streaming?

01:49:46
I can't imagine going to a movie until at least probably fall, and until vaccines are fully deployed. I'd also say that to make reopening a Party, it can't happen until most people feel comfortable participating. And lastly, I think folks are desperate not for more "screen time", necessarily, but for socializing, so any Party plans should highlight the communal experience.

01:49:54
On the graphic David showed it was not streaming right away

01:52:05
Watching what happens at high school sporting events will give us some insight as to making decisions to open.

01:52:25
If you need volunteer labor to finish the improvements, could you send out an email blast letting us know what’s needed and when? a

01:53:13
^I agree with Liz about sending an email blast with work that needs to be done, including working concessions.

01:53:25
Yes, thank you!

01:55:58
Thank you, all!

01:56:03
Thanks to everyone!

01:56:36
Jen Nelson I love that you show up and you have such good insight.

01:56:56
Please remember member loan repayment in financial plans

01:57:08
Many thanks, all of you. The theater is an impressive accomplishment

01:57:36
Thank you!! I've loved this theatre since I was a kid. You're not getting rid of me too easy. LOL

01:59:58
Which means its impossible for us old folks.

02:01:14
there are no greener pastures, Ben.

02:01:57
Thanks to all, I was one of the original in July of 2007 so glad the theatre is still here.

02:02:26
here

02:03:00
I would discuss this with the board, but ask CST first

02:04:23
Joel is correct, the student workers would need training and supervision.

02:05:12
OR run an electronic keyboard through a PA

02:08:33
Thanks all
