There are many airports across Minnesota who need to update their fuel card reader systems to accept credit cards with chips in them for extra security. The deadline for this transition is April 2021. After such time, the fuel system owners will be responsible for any liability with the systems that are not updated or there may be a fine.
This session will address the changes in the credit card processing industry that will affect Self-Service Aviation Fueling systems and Aeronautics plans to provide WiFi to GA Airports.
Attend this session and you will learn about funding opportunities. This project could cost airports between $12,000 to $15,000, however, it is eligible for CARES Act funding reimbursement and is an important option for airport sponsors to explore.
