AirTAP Spring Series - Understanding Lease Agreements

Many lease agreements at airports are coming to the end of their 25 – 30 year terms. Airports sponsors are given an opportunity to ensure they remain competitive in the market while updating the agreements to meet current MnDOT and FAA standards and follow their City or County requirements.

This session will give airport sponsors perspective on commercial use hangars, T-hangars, and private hangar lease agreements, best practices on what to include and what not to include in a lease agreement, and how your colleagues determine rates and charges. There will be a short presentation by some of your peers and then an opportunity to ask questions and discuss current challenges your community is facing with lease agreements at the airport.
