Youth Aspirations - Imagining and Navigating Futures in Higher Education: A Minnesota 4-H YDP Volunteer Development Webinar

While many higher education preparatory programs focus on grades, test scores, and financing, recent research in the field of youth development suggests that cultivating and fostering higher education aspiration may be a missing piece. Dr. Joanna Tzenis, UMN Extension educator, authored the guidebook Youth Aspirations: Imagining and Navigating Futures in Higher Education, to help young people envision having higher education in their future and begin to take steps toward achievement that include relying on supports, navigating barriers, and reimagining what is possible.

Join Minnesota 4-H Youth Development Program (YDP) Extension Educator Dr. Joanna Tzenis (Ramsey Co.) Tues. May 2nd 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM to learn how you can sustain the college and university aspirations of young people in your life while also helping them identify and strategize around emergent challenges. This 75-minute training is open to Minnesota 4-H YDP volunteers, potential volunteers, and youth leaders as part of our 2022-23 Statewide Volunteer Development Webinar program. Attendance is optional. Registration is required.
