Promoting Beneficial Insects: Natural Pest Control
Pollinators are critically important to plants and humans, but do you know there are other "good bugs" that help out at the garden or farm? Shane Bugeja, UMN Extension educator, will talk about some of the major allies in the fight against fruit and vegetable pests and how to attract these friends to your landscape.

The facilitator for this webinar is Shane Bugeja. Shane is a local UMN Extension educator in Blue Earth and Le Sueur counties and has been in this role since 2017. He has a M.S. in soil science and a B.S. in agronomy from Iowa State University. His specialties are insects, invasive species, and urban forestry. In his free time Shane likes to garden, hike, and flood iNaturalist with photos of bugs and plants.

The University of Minnesota Extension is committed to providing equal opportunity for participation in all programs, services, and activities. Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting Julie Larson at larso143@umn.edu two weeks prior to the start of the event. Requests received after this date will be honored whenever possible.
